We will list things the kids are doing and how things are going here. I will update it as we can and hope to have something to say every few days. It will be daily depending on the kids. Enjoy!

All: Well, today was one of those days. Kristen had to get a hair cut and the kids were in a place that can only be described as the padded room. They are so interested in what is going on it is wild. The kids like to learn new stuff upon the destruction of the old. The boys have decided to play with cars and Avery was watching TV. One boy decided to change channel, well Avery took it upon herself remind the boys who was really in-charge. I can only say, I tried not to laugh. We have to work on them to stop throwing things. This is getting dangerous and destructive. We had Sloppy Joes for dinner with pears, Doritos, cheese, and bananas with a peanut butter cookie. They did not each much of it. Matthew eat the Joe, we really love his willingness to eat. Nicholas ate nothing as usual. Andrew picked at it. Avery did the same. We have been trying to get them to do more like putting up toys and helping us with things. This is going well. The duct-Tape is working well.

All: The words and ability to communicate, these are the things we are dealing with. Matthew.... NO! Purple Cup. Avery... I said Babies! No Robots as the boys are yelling ROBOTS! Andrew is just full of language. Nicholas is really our quiet on. I have made a rule that I will not give cookies to Naked babies. This may sound strange, but the kids seemed to understand and all went and got there cloths. Naps ended with 3 naked babies and 2 bed changes and a few spots on the floor. We put up some posters for the kids and they really like them. They are of fruits and words we need them to learn. They love flash cards and really seem to have a good memory for things. Nicholas was cookie master today and did an amazing job sharing cookies and making sure everyone got a few. He is really good with this.

All: The disembowelment of Matthew's dog. During the night or early morning there was an incident with Matthew's beloved dog. He met a horrific fate. He was disemboweled all over the room. There was stuffing as far as the room would allow. His head was all that had anything left. Matthew is not in a good place today and really seems offended and hurt. He is carrying around the empty shell like he has lost a friend. It is really sad. On Friday, we will take him back to the build-a-bear store and see if they will restuff him. We wondered if today was a full moon. We had appointments all day and the kids were completely mental.

All: Today ended with an amazing shock. Terri stopped by and she was looking at the potties we tried last night and notices it was not empty. This was a shock to us as we did not notice. Ok look we are tired and we missed it. We were in a bit of shock that someone went and we missed it. Last night at bath time, we pulled out the potty and let them try it as we know they would pee in the tub once they get in. Insert a Joke here :) We are excited and shocked we missed it. Well, tonight we pulled out the potties to assemble them and as we were changing diapers for bed we let them try it again. Andrew, Avery and Nicholas love it. They got right on them like pros! Matthew is not there yet and that is ok. Andrew with a big smile fills the potty!!! Then Avery!!! Nicholas tried and sat there for a good bit, but was just not able. Too much pressure I guess. We are so proud at the success, but then our stupidity set in. We just had them in the living room as we were assembling them... It just kind of happened. Now we have 3 naked kids and 2 full potties... Now what do we do... Kristen gave me diapers, I did not realize this and that lead to them getting up and starting to look at what they did. Why does a baby want to step in the potty? Really why? Andrew and Avery now have wet feet and this is not something I was prepared for. Kristen comes running with towels and I go pick up the potties to get them to the tile. Ok, please note the following expletives were said.... As the potty came apart and splashed all over the living room and me. Kristen and I will be up late cleaning the carpet. I am sure this will never happen again. We are amazed at how Andrew and Avery and Nicholas are taking to the idea. We will introduce it again this week and start full tilt this weekend if all goes well. Any tips?

All: Naked naps. This lead to bed changes and baths. Nicholas likes his PJs and is hard to get to part with them. Matthew, Andrew and Avery were naked as the day they were born. Andrew broke a vase today and forced us to put up even more items. At this rate it will be folding chairs and concrete tables. We tried some underwear with them for dinner as they were going to bath anyway. They loved them, but had accidents, only No. 1. We have started working with them on greetings, 'Nice to see meet you.' Matthew has a huge bump on his head. He or someone pulled a blind down off the wall and it hit hard! He did really well, he came to us and told us what was wrong and that he was hurting. This is a major step for him as we are not used to seeing this. We are very proud of him. Nicholas is better, we are concerned as he never eats and seems to hate milk. We have been working with him and Gatorade. That seems to help a bit. Andrew is a real piece of work right now. I would like to be nice and say something, but he is really testing us, I don't think his hiney and brain talk at all. Avery is talking up a storm and is a real opinionated child. When she wants you to come and do something, by God you had better. She will pull your hand until you go where ever she has in mind. The issue is really figuring out what/why she wants you where you are. She wanted dad to watch them jump off the desk today. Now, let's ignore the fact of them jumping off the desk, but after 10-15 minutes, one would think it would be ok to leave and go back to what you were doing, nope!

All: Hair Cuts! Hair Cuts! Hair Cuts! They all did well, Avery did the best. Nicholas still does not like the idea. They look so much better. Thank you Kim for all the work. Took the kids to play in the yard while Kristen got some alone time in the house. She got 1 project done and this is a good thing. We seem to have more things to do than time.

All: ECI was here today. The kids really love Jackie. Time out is really working and we can now tell them to go and they go on their own. This has also almost stopped them hitting each other. I would love to know why the kids will only eat what you are eating and not if we give them the same on their plates. We have them shaking hands and saying, 'Nice to meet you.'. It is funny to see them doing this. Matthew has been a real chatter box. Andrew has been testing boundaries. Nicholas is really being helpful with anything. Avery has been stripping out of her clothes when and where ever she decides.

All: The kids took the dog for a walk today and did really well. They held on to her leash ( 2 put together to make 1 long one) and walked holding it. It was promising as they seemed to like it and be ok with it. It is something we will try again. The only issue was when we got to a street crossing and bailey stopped and waited then took off across the street. The kids were not really ready for her to go and she knocked over 3 out of the 4. This lead to some crying and then Avery started off down the street on her own. I am glad we don't have a lot of traffic on the streets near us or it would be harder to try stuff like this. We went to Chick-fil-a for dinner and it went ok, but they all seemed to have ants in their pants. It was a strange evening as we got everything done early, so we turned in and tried to get some sleep.

All: We forgot Matthew's medication last night and he did really well today. Much more talkative and happier it seems. Andrew was not really ok with it. Andrew seems to have taken the leadership role, until Matthew is not on his medication. Andrew has been a bit of a bully and Matthew just takes it. Well, that was until today. Andrew decided to push Matthew a bit and got a real butt kicking. It was really funny, to be honest, to watch Andrew trying to figure out how to deal with it. It was nice to see the happy Matthew back. He did really well. They all opened a door and were playing in the rain today before we noticed. We forgot a door lock and they found it and out in their pajamas they were. So we had a quick outfit change and some lunch. Baths were funny tonight. We got them all to hold hands. We are working on this to get them to hold each other's hands and we are making some head way. This is not something we really thought about teaching them, but needed to. We had a nice hug fest and I topple over. A topple over is when the hugger attacks the huggie. The Huggie gets all with weight of the hugger and over they go with a great giggle. We need to get a sign that says will work for candy corn. When we ask them to do something and they do it correctly we reward it. This seems to really work for them. Well tonight it was candy corn. Don't judge! It was going well and Nicholas realized if he cleaned up the ones closes to me he got more candy! He made out like a bandit. The others did well to.

All: Had lodge tonight and Kristen had fun with the lunatics. Today was Avery's day to eat meat. We have notices she really only eats meat 1 day a week and she eats a lot of it. She will eat all the chicken she can get. This is great until she starts eating the other kids food. And why is it that a kid never wants what is on the plate until some eats it, grabs it, or you take it away.

All: Today was a interesting day of words with the kids. Avery decided my chair was hers and proceeded to tell me, 'No Daddy, My chair, no sit mine.' It was a riot she kept repeating it. Matthew likes to listen to music and will walk into and say 'Dance, Dance, Dance.' Stand there nicely and look at you. Then he proceeds to sit on the couch and watch Nicholas dance. Nicholas likes to dance. We make it to dinner and Andrew is not sitting well in the chair. He has started rocking in it. We have been working on this. He rocked too much and fell back, with a mighty boom. He cracked the faceplate and wall with his head. Sad it did not leave a scar. I really think he needs it. I know this seem hard, but Andrew can be a bit trying at times. He is real smart and that can cause him to get into issues. It has been a long day.

All: Matthew is standing at the top of the stairs, He yells 'Newspaper' and throws a dirty diaper down to Nicholas who takes it and throws it in the trash can. They must be up to something! This is our new morning ritual. I change them and they do the rest. We are really working on the helping us now. Andrew decided to move the furniture and get to the dish holding decorative balls and play lets smash them. The first one shattered and we put an end to it then. ECI was today. We have to think of Yeats at a time like this. "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world," This is really how life is for us. Nicholas decided to play with the pump soap.... But his hands are really clean. Poor Bailey got locked in my office, she seems to really have enjoyed the nap. ha-ha.
