We will list things the kids are doing and how things are going here. I will update it as we can and hope to have something to say every few days. It will be daily depending on the kids. Enjoy!

All: We head to the Beach!!! Yep, we took them to the beach for the first time. We drove to the pier to see the Cruise ships. The kids love them. They really loved the sail boats. Matthew saw a Green one, Andrew saw a yellow one and Nicholas saw a blue one. Avery wanted to see a Pink one. I don't think people paint boats Pink. But we saw a red one that looked close enough at 50 mph for her to accept. ha-ha. We get to the beach and the kids keep telling us about the beach and water. We park and don't even get suits on them before they are ready to go. They ran through the sand and try to figure out how to navigate in the sand. We figured they would see the waves and be concerned. They ran into the water and had a great time. The waves knocked them over and they tried seawater. They ran and played for a long time. Matthew kept going farther out in the waves. No fear. They loved it and we will have to go more often. We stopped and got them each a necklace, as you do. Sea Shells looked too much like a trip to the ER to me. In a bit of stupidity we pushed it and went to eat some lunch. We should have just gone to McDonalds. They did not do well eating as they were hot and tired. I forgot, Andrew and Avery tried to feed the seagulls. I am really surprised they had no issue with how close they were getting to them. A nice person gave them a piece of bread to feed them with. Before that they were giving them goldfish. They did not nap, except Nicholas on the way home. We all got a small sunburn it seems, but heck we all had fun. Now, how do you get the sand out of the car!

All: The kids were rambunctious and we spent the day at the pool . I decided to make hamburgers on the grill. And since we are firing up the grill, you have to cook some sausage. The kids have never had sausage, and we did not expect them to try. I was wrong on that count. Avery, Nicholas and Matthew ate almost the entire ring. We were shocked and excited. They normally don't try things. They seemed to really like it and they did. We get in to shower and eat. It was a good day.

All: We had fun on the swings today and it really made them tired. They ate well to. We removed buddies (pacifiers). This we were dreading thinking it would lead to massive rebellion. All I can say is we have had no issue. Now, Matthew does find a toy that looks like one and sucks it for a few seconds and gives up. The rest of the time he seems ok with it. The one he did have hiding, all you can say is he was coveting that one. It was a look of such happiness. They are all gone and it is going well. Andrew is doing well on the potty. We still are not having success with No. 2 on the potty, but we do not have accidents that often anymore. Avery has moved herself to the toilet and prefers it. If we can get the boys to get the idea which is coming life will be better, but the water bill will go up. Nicholas is really pushing the envelope and trying to see what he can get away with.

All: The day was spent in the pool and then the rain set in and it was time for Pizza and a bath. The kids were falling asleep on the couch so we put them to bed. It was 6:45 and they actually went out. This is the first time we can remember getting to bed so early.

All: The kids went to eat at Wendy's. They seem to do really well there. Kristen got accosted by a lady who had to talk to her about twins... We all eat and as we get to the end of the meal, Avery pipes up and says, Daddy! I want my Ice Cream now. How they can remember something like that I have no idea. They did not get it either.

All: Avery had her dolls on the couch and way yelling at them. Get in the house. Stop doing that. Do you want a spanking. Did you hear me... I could barely contain my laughter, she is so busted. We know have verification they do hear us. They just done care. Oh joy. They are ignoring us at 3. Matthew went to bed and I had to run get something. I hear him yelling. I need my nite-nite kiss. It was so cute. Nicholas was having a day of testing the barriers. He decided to spray out the floor cleaner. Andrew has been a real good kid and is trying to be helpful. He helped put up all the toys outside.

All: We had the kids playing outside as I worked on a new wall patch. Yes they did open another wall. They have no interest in the power saw, but the sander was a big hit. They loved the idea, so I let them try it. That did not go ok. It was a bit much for them. We then get them all put up. Kristen had some time to get to work in there closet. We needed to work on the clothes they have as they keep getting bigger. We went to Chick-fil-a and they loved it. It is so hot that afternoons are inside. I can not wait for all.

All: This morning Michael went to get the kids up and walked into their room to hear Matthew tell him that he needed a ladder. Michael asked what the ladder was for. Matthew’s reply was “To fix the sun”. Since Michael tends to be the one who fixes things around here the kids bring him everything or bug him about it. Well because this morning it was overcast Matthew decided the sun needed fixing and Daddy needed a ladder to do it. What comes out of the mouths of kids at times. Matthew did get excited when the sun did come out. I wonder if he thinks Michael fixed it. I went shopping for clothes for the kids and Michael fed them lunch and when I got home he headed into a meeting. The kids didn’t want to take a nap but finally managed to go down. When the kids got up from their nap Michael was home and it started to rain. We fed them dinner and then it was off for baths. After baths were done the kids were playing and Avery was sitting on our ottoman. Andrew went up to her and shoved her off it and onto the floor. He then ran around and gave her a big hug and said “I sorry Avery. I love you.” So Avery would climb up on the ottoman again and the whole thing would repeat again. Avery finally got tired of being pushed off and went to sit on the couch so Andrew climbed up on the ottoman hoping that one of the other boys would continue the game but no one wanted to. With how dark it was at bedtime the kids went down pretty fast tonight.

All: Today was just a general get stuff done around the house kind of day and attempt to keep the kids entertained while doing it. We found a few inexpensive toys Friday while we were out and gave them to the kids this morning. I know some of their frustration is not being able to really get outside and play but with temperatures reaching near 100 they can only be out for short periods of time. We thought new toys would help however it only gave them new items to fight over. After their nap Katy came over and I went upstairs and tried to sort through the next size of clothes to see what the kids needed for fall. Michael hooked up a game we got for the kids to the TV. It allows the kids to “paint” the screen with a wireless controller. It is pretty cool actually. It is going to take some working with them on how to do it since it is basically one of the first video games the kids have ever tried. After dinner we picked up the disaster that was the downstairs from all the new toys and sent the kids to bed.

All: Today was a typical Friday for us with my parents coming to watch the kids so Michael and I can run errands. When we got home my mom had a cute story about the kids. She has been taking the kids for walks when she is here and bless her heart I can’t believe she is willing to brave this heat. She has been working with them for the last several weeks at holding hands. She usually has 2 kids in front of her and 2 kids are holding her hands as they walk. The 2 best at holding hands by themselves are Andrew and Avery. My mom said they were walking and she noticed Avery dropped Andrew’s hand and wiped her hand on her shirt then went back and grabbed Andrew’s hand. This happened a few more times before Avery finally turned to my mom and said “I don’t want to hold Andrew’s hand anymore”. She couldn’t explain why she didn’t want to hold it but my mom knew. Poor Andrew has been cursed with sweaty hands and feet since he was an infant. Poor little guy…I hope he grows out of it.

All: We woke early in the AM with a resounding 'Hi mommy daddy!' from Andrew. It was not 10 minutes later that his brothers and sister arrived in our room. 6:20 am is a little early. It was a fun day. The kids enjoyed playing on the air mattress and brought all there pillows and blankets and had a blast. Andrew is doing fine and we think he just got over heated. We tried to keep it low key today with them. Yeah like that ever happens. They played outside for 20 minutes and Andrew was red again so we called it. It is only reading 100 in the shade. They then told Kristen she was taking them for a drive. They like to go for rides and have some great new games. Like Make the car go Beep-Beep, Roll the window down, Take to the drive thru people. And God help if they don't wave bye to them. They start yelling BYE, until the lady says Bye-Bye. It is weird. It is late and I need to get to bed.
